Racism-critical consultation hours

From August to December 2020, the Autonomous BIPoC Department in cooperation with the Department Gender & Diversity Management offers online consultation hours for students who experience racism at the University of Cologne. The consultation hours are led by the therapist Rose Kapuya. The offer is directed exclusively at black, indigenous students and students of color.

Students who experience racial discrimination at the University of Cologne and would like to to talk about it or who seek to report a concrete case, have the possibility to write an email to Rose Kapuya to reserve a time slot:
Beratung-BIPoC@uni-koeln.de.

All incoming mails and requests will be treated confidentially and will be only viewed by Rose Kapuya.



The online consultation hours take place on the following dates and is offered in German, English and French:

August 21st, 2020
September 18th, 2020
October 16th, 2020
November 20th, 2020
December 18th, 2020

The measure is financed as a pilot project through the Diversity Project Fund of the Prorectorate for Academic Career and Equal Opportunities as well as through the Department 92 - International Students of the International Office (funded by the German Academic Exchange Service from the Federal Foreign Office - STIBET I project).
