The dimensions of sex, gender and intersectionality (including, e.g., religion, ethnicity, disability and other factors) can have an impact on research projects even when they are not the primary
focus. Based on established guidelines and analytical questions, the participants gain awareness of the relevance of these aspects and learn how to systematically assess whether and how
they may be relevant for their own research projects. In a hands-on session, the participants learn how to apply generative AI tools and structured prompting techniques to support this
analysis and to develop reusable workflows. The workshop will be held by computer scientist and freelance science communicator Dr.-Ing. Lea Schönberger. She studied computer science with a minor in Latin in Münster and continued her computer science studies in Dortmund, where she completed her PhD in 2023. Since 2020, she has also been pur suing studies in general and comparative literature and classical philology in Bochum. Hosting the podcast „Informatik für die moderne Hausfrau“ (i.e., „computer science for the modern housewife“), she explains computer-science-related topics to an interested audience and provides a platform for inspiring women in the field.
The workshop is organized by UoC-IMPACT and Gender & Diversity Consulting D7. For more information please contact lkrall@uni-koeln.de
