At the University of Cologne, gender equality is both a management and cross-sectional task. The mission statement "Diversity and Equal Opportunities", the Equal Opportunities Future Concept 2019-2024 and the joint "Guidelines for Equal Opportunities (2018)" with universities and partner institutions in the Rhineland frame all activities. Various steering instruments (such as internal agreements on objectives and performance, cascade model, gender data monitoring) are used to manage the actual improvement in gender equality. Numerous actors* and areas are involved in the implementation and improvement of equal opportunities.
