Since July 1 2022, the Department Gender & Diversity Managment (GeDiM) along with Gender Studies in Cologne (GeStiK) have been working to develop structural measures, which aim facilitate the systematic integration of gender aspects in key research areas at the University of Cologne (UoC). This project is funded as part of BMBF’s funding guideline Gender Aspects in Focus.

Excellent research requires a gender-sensitive approach. The focus of the project " UoC IMPACT – University of Cologne IMPlementing Gender ASpeCTs in Research" is, on the one hand, to establish formats of knowledge transfer with and among selected key areas of research at UoC in order discuss the need for and opportunities of considering gender and, more broadly, an intersectional mode of analysis in research activities beyond the field of gender studies. On the other hand, this project seeks to encourage such considerations by creating more opportunities for networking, consultation, and knowledge transfer among researchers.

The project with the former titel: "Gender-Trans:for:mations – Transfer – Research -  Information" was funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF-grant number 01FP22G27).
