As part of the course entitled "Finding a Voice: Women’s Writing between the 18th and 20th Century", we discuss Caryl Churchill's seminal 80s play "Top Girls". In it, she exposes the historical cruelties and difficult circumstances despite which women have persevered for centuries. It will be benefitial to have read the play before attending the seminar session.
